Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year where "Learning is a Treasure at Lewis Elementary"! We invite everyone – parents, educators, students and other citizens active in their schools and communities to join the Lewis Elementary PTA. When you join the PTA, your child benefits and you help Lewis Elementary. Your membership supports the following PTA events:
- Gift certificate given to every student for free book(s) at the Spring book fair
- Fun family educational events
- Various Lewis Elementary programs such as: Math, Science, and Reading enrichment materials
In addition to the $5.00 individual membership, the Lewis PTA offers a family membership which consists of three purchased memberships for $15.00. Each family membership receives a Panther Perk card. Families can take the Panther Perk card to the participating businesses to receive the discount or "perk". The Panther Perk card is good throughout the year. Please see the other side for a list of national and local PTA benefits. A sample of the local participating businesses is listed under "local benefits".
Research has shown that when families are involved, students perform better in school. Thank you for supporting our students and school. Your PTA membership and involvement will help students unlock the treasure of learning at Lewis Elementary! (Reminder: Classrooms that reach 100% PTA membership will be rewarded.)
